Mission Families

Every member and/or regular attendee of Grace Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is designated to be in a Mission Family. Each group enjoys fellowship and takes ownership of projects at the church. One such duty is to prepare Communion for the worship services two months a year. Other Families have helped a family in need; supported Safe House; and similar projects.
We started a new calendar year this January with new Mission Families; however, an amendment to our constitution was voted on last Sunday which allowed the mission families to be re-organized prior to the 2-year timeline. All members of the Timothy and Procrastinators have been re-assigned to new groups. Some members have been placed in the FIRST FAMILY and a NEW FAMILY, in which members are mostly in the same age and family composition.
The Facilitators met Sunday afternoon to discuss the status of current and new mission family groups. After careful consideration, the facilitators decided upon having 5 mission families instead of 6.
The members of each mission family are listed below. Please let Stan Murrell or King Knight know if you feel that you would be a more effective member in another family. Your participation is what's important.
